hey everyone, don't know if there's any fans of SWEET POTATOES out there, but JEWEL has them on sale for $.39/lb right now.

i don't know about the sweet potatoes, but i'm off to buy a JUMP SNAP!

On the article: I'm not clear on the practical (read non-theoretical) application of practicing versus training.
Can someone give me examples? The essay itself is compelling in its imagery, but I feel like it's a bit of a semantic discussion.
On another note:
I know what should happen with that Josh money: JumpSnaps!

Drew, I think you may have a potential lawsuit against the Jump Snap people. If I remember correctly, you developed one at WCCF and were cranking out double unders like nobody's business. Can't wait to PR my next Annie with this "rope". And Huddy, maybe you could offer to record your words of encouragement, for a small fee, so that one doesn't have to listen to that lame counter. Just a thought.

Cal, You are right. I already tried to sue them. But if you can remember, my "jump snap" lacked the distinctive sound of the double-under. They used that against me, ala Vanilla Ice's defense vs. Queen and David Bowie. They equated my lack of sound to an extra beat at the end.

From the creators of the Jump Snap now come these exciting new products:
BarGrunt - If lifting a barbell feels heavy, don't do it! Instead, try this electronic PVC pipe, which weighs next to nothing and makes grunting noises when you lift it so you don't have to!
SmartBells - Dumbbells too stubborn and just won't listen when you tell them to get off the darn ground? Try voice activated SmartBells, which change weight in response to vocal commands. Now you can take it easy while still looking like you're lifting with the big boys.
Coach Potato - Mr. Potato Head meets Vince Lombardi! This spud-looking whistle blower with built in radio continuously spouts encouraging words while you work out, like: "Great work!" or "You can do it!" or "Nice form!" Want more critique? Okay! Coach Potato comes with six settings that range from drill sergeant to yoga instructor, so if you'd rather hear something like "get back to work, soldier!" or "Get a move on it, slowpoke!" Coach Potato will oblige.
Okay, that's enough. The video was depressing. Too HARD? What's next? Marriage difficult? Don't work on it--get divorced! Job tough? Quit! Too much homework? Drop out of school! Sad... Also, there were some obviously fit people in that ad. Sellouts.
I want to end this comment on a good note--I just learned this morning that if you make a frittata with 50% full eggs and 50% without the yolk, it will be fluffier. Mmmm...

For those of you who didn't see the NCAA championship tonight (im talking hockey here)... it was one of greatest games i've ever seen. I am sure that some of you dont watch hockey, let alone college hockey... but if you can catch a replay of this game, you have to watch it. Now, Cam, i know you probably never want to see this game again, considering that my Boston team scored 2 goals in the last 45 seconds to tie the game, i didnt even know they played hockey in Ohio.
