First off, Great Family photo! What a beautiful little girl!
In regards to today’s article, I think they have it all wrong. I agree with the fact that women do tend to eat more when with all women, however, I think their reasoning is completely off. In my personal experience and opinion women tend to eat more together because they loose inhibitions when together/ give each other the green flag. You might not even be thinking about dessert, but when I am out to dinner with my girlfriends it always seems to be some sort of a celebration of our time together that is often followed with dessert and bottles of wine. We are not eating more because there is not a man in our presence, but because you feel like it’s ok to loose your self-control because the women you are with are presenting little to none. Basically you’re not riding solo on those extra 800 calories, so it seems ok.

Great photo Regs and Lauren, I am so happy for you!

Dan W.

Regs, Lauren, Grace - Fantastic! - Love, family and crossfit - what else can you say. Thank you for sharing!

Sheena

I love that family.

Yaz

She is such a cutie!! Can't wait to meet her in person!!

Jason

Great photo. I assume Grace will grow out of that onesie in a few weeks (if she doesn't just shred it with raw strength before then).

re: various food threads in the past few months. Check out this article: http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/July-2009/The-Food-Desert/ Huge swaths of the South Side have no access to fresh fruit or vegetables.

This is stunning (check out the map of the affected area).

WCCF:

I am trying to figure out how to adapt as the work outs get harder.

Mostly I am worried about over training as I am showing some signs already.

I have worked to scale workouts down weight wise and follow a strict 3 on 1 off program, but that doesn't seem to be doing it.

Do you all tend to scale down the weight more or possibly the reps?

Zeke

Sean you erase me this morning?

sean

matthew,

there is no adapting, and thats one of the reasons crossfit is so f'n hard.. lots of people believe that there is no such thing as over-training, only under-recovery. either way, my opinion is, if you're walking down the street and you feel like the passing 16 year old can kick your ass; then you may be somewhere in that range and require a day or two off.

aside from that, just keep up the hard work, drink plenty of water, eat healthy and get rest. if 3 on 1 off isnt working for you, experiment with other patterns, 2 on 1 off, 3 on 2 off, 1 on 1 off.. we're all different and require different means for recovery. as far as scaling, scale to your ability as far as the lifts are concerned; accuracy and safety before intensity.

sean

sorry, zeke, its on the board, must've just missed ya, in the recording. my bad homie, it'll go up with the PM times.

Katrina

PRs all over the place today! Congrats to everyone- what a Fantastic morning!

Jeneral

Wow--nice job Peyton! Wish I could wake up early enough to work out with you sometime :)

Zeke

np sean...you probably wiped after that pr

Regs

Yo I have to mention a couple of people that decided to crush sh*t today. First, Cal...aka the Mainiac...aka Jonny No Neck...aka Herkaleez. Everyone knows he has been on a tear lately. Seems like he is PRing every other day. Well he went and Front Squatted 265 today. C'mon guy. If you guys see Cal and aren't afraid of his new physique, pat him on the back. He deserves it. Next, someone that you won't hear much from...because she is one of our satellite members...Sheena. She set a new deadlift PR this morning with 235. Great job Sheens!! We miss you. These two people would never ask for a heads up but they bust ass everyday and that is why they set PRs. It's Crossfit and you earn everything you get. Awesome job guys.

Turts...I poured out some of my protein shake for you today man.

Andres

@Matthew, on top of what Sean already said make sure to take a look at your day to day diet. Recently I switched over to a more Zone like diet and have pushed through the plateau wall.

Not sure if Zone is for you, but keep an eye on what you eat because i never realized how much what you eat effects how you feel and how you perform until i switched.

hope that helps.

People deserve good life time and personal loans or just commercial loan would make it better. Just because freedom relies on money.
