Sweet PR K.
Sweet job by everyone that took on that dirty B*tch last night. Seriously one of the most taxing workouts I have attempted.
I have to say a HUGE thank you to Drew and Will for barking at me the whole way through. There is zero chance I put that time up without you telling me to "PICK THAT BAR UP NOW".

If you have the time today checkout Crossfit Football's http://www.crossfitfootball.com/ today's wod was named after a guy that my best man served two tours with in Iraq. The name of the wod is the Winchester and it looks tough. My buddy wrote Wellborn over at Crossfit Football and asked if he could develop a workout in honor of his fallen comrade and Welborn wrote back within the hour stating he would be honored. I plan on doing it this Sunday at noon if anyone wants to join me.

For all those interested in buying singlets for the WCCF OLY Meet. I found the following site:
http://www.ahpequipment.com/products/adidas_olympic_weightlifting_singlets_atenus_pb_and_club_.shtml
Anyone know of any other places to buy a singlet? Not only can we wear it to the lifting, we can wear it out to the grocery stores!

Thanks Katie for that foot diagnosis last night and thanks Will for hooking a brotha up with your human crutch skillz!

Not sure if it's the same for y'all that have been coming for months, but for a couple of us newbies, this week's WOD's have left us feeling pretty gimpy. Here's to hoping it wears off quick and congrats to all on yesterday's FRAN!

Anyone out there use the iPhone app "As Rx'd" to track progress on the WOD's? Is it useful and easy to set up?

pat, thanks for sticking around and getting me through it!

Kim H! Cappy and I both have that iPhone app. I use it frequently, from getting our daily WOD, to inputting times/round of a name workout. The app already have a list of standard CrossFit movements which makes it easy to input some of our crazy workout. I would said the learning curve on this app is very easy.

Kim: I bought As Rx'd -- it's still got some annoying data entry bugs and the developers haven't really done anything about it for the last two months. I wouldn't recommend it. WOD also looks interesting, though it lacks some features of As RX'd (http://wodapp.com/). I wish beyondthewhiteboard was more reasonably priced. Someone needs to make a Crossfit app that also has a nice web interface and syncs the data there.
Hmm.. actually logsitall.com is free and has a iphone-web-optimized interface as well.

Sean, how the hell are you doing legit pull-ups? It doesn't sound like you are following doctors orders.
Posted by: Slosher | October 29, 2009 at 11:19 AM
kim,
to echo hornet and jason...i think the app does what it needs to do. it's not perfect (entry glitches from time to time), but i use it and it gets the job done. for the price, i'd say try it out. i doubt you'll be left feeling that you wasted your money, even if you don't love it.

Slosher, which doctor? Dr. Cakes...?
Posted by: Dole | October 29, 2009 at 11:25 AM
Since the apps issue is out there, I'm going to ask for help. I loaded As RX'd since it looks like the only one that will load WCCF WOD, but I can't get it too load. I must have the wrong rrs (or rss or whatever) entered. Can someone help me with this?

Is anyone else planning on doing Fran Sunday? Again I can't get in today =(
Posted by: steve b | October 29, 2009 at 12:29 PM
Dole, I like the Rhino Singlet, but I would be more impressed if it had the horn placement in the crotch area!
